Immersed in the Carpina Valley Agriturismo Acquacalda sits in the middle of a farming community spread over about 130 hectares of land in a protected area used for the breeding and repopulating of game.
Carefully restored to retain many original features, with oak beams and log fires this amazingly romantic farmhouse is a fusion of modern comfort and warm Umbrian countryside atmosphere. This ancient family farm house consists of an eco-farm, Bed & Breakfast rooms, several mini apartments and a restaurant.
Acquacalda derives its name from a spring water low in mineral content rushing out from our spring. Guests can also use the large pool with accompanying chairs, loungers and parasol. From the pool you have magnificent views of the surrounding landscape.Our estate includes a pond where you can live for your fishing passion in peace and tranquility. The shady garden has lawn furniture, a barbecue and you can take a nice walk all around the farm, taking a look at the cows, or meeting the beautiful peacocks! If you have children they will enjoy playing with the animals on the farm. Fresh fruit is served from the garden. The common wood-burning stove and our advice will help you can make your first real Italian pizza.
This farm complex is open to tourists year round offering extremely kind welcome and assistance. Our guests can enjoy the in-door and out door activities, mountain biking and horseback riding, food tasting and cooking classes. We have our own farm shop where they can buy pork meat and Chianina beef, honey, truffle and jam. You can also taste the specialties at our restaurant: grilled Chianina beef, garden vegetables and delicious home-made cakes.
This part of Umbria is full of attractions just waiting to be discovered, with countless scenic walks, local heritage, cultural centers and lots more. It is just 5 minutes by car to get to Montone, 30 minutes to Perugia and you could also reach the best of Italy in a few hours.
